Class Description

In this class we’ll learn everything about breathing. What is Yogic Breath? Four Stages of Breathing. Breath anatomy: diaphragms and muscles used in breathing. Biomechanics of breath. We’ll start with main breathing exercises, and along the way, as we progress pranayama will be introduced. Will take the time to explore the breath in few basic poses that will be used as to tune into your breath, and different body areas that are engaged in breathing. Everyone can explore and enjoy this settled breathing practice.


This will eliminate the unhealthy habit of breathing with the chest, develops qualities of healthy breath making it deeper, smoother, rhythmic, without sound, without pause. It increases breath-awareness. You may find yourself breathing deeper and stretching the breath right now while you read. Changes the energy flow, increases vital capacity, creates steadiness and ease, will reduce tension in the upper body, engages your core muscles, relax the body and concentrate the mind, increases immune system, invigorates all body energy.

A Brief Outline Of The Routine

This practice starts with specific breathing techniques.The last 20 min we’ll practice guided meditation focusing on self-awareness and unconditional self-acceptance. Ending with a quiet transition to external awareness. Chairs, cushions, blankets and blocks will all be available to support your posture for meditation. You’ll leave rejuvenated, awaken and opened for a better day and better life after each and every class!
