Class Description

Your mind always follows your breath, and your body always follows your mind!

In this class, we’ll start with breathing exercises. We’ll take time to explore your breath while moving in different poses. Everyone can explore and enjoy this gentle practice.

Studies indicate that as a holistic therapy, yoga has the potential to relieve both the physical and psychological suffering of people with asthma. This class is highly recommended for people that face COPD, Asthma, Bronchitis, Allergies, Anxiety, and Stress.

This breathing routine will help you to eliminate the unhealthy habit of breathing with the chest. It develops qualities of healthy breathing by increasing breath-awareness. Changes the energy flow, increases vital capacity, create steadiness and ease, will reduce tension in the upper body, engages your core muscles, relaxes the body and concentrates the mind, increases immune system, invigorates all body energy and calms the mind.

 People with breathing health conditions we’ll experience significant improvement in the peak expiratory flow rate, asthma improved symptom score, better control of asthma, decreased number of day and night attacks and use of drugs. This practice will make you more aware of your habits, routines and how you react to certain situations. A Brief Outline Of The Routine

Easy movements will be practiced that will allow you to focus on breathing. The practice starts with body integration and breathing techniques (30 min) that will prepare you for gentle movement (30), moving at your own peace. In the last 10 min, you’ll connect with a feeling of breath awareness through guided meditation. We’ll explore in very much detail your existing breathing patterns and how to slowly incorporate the correct one.  Also, exploring the natural body movement through breathing. By practicing conscious breathing you will experience how it helps you to build up your energy and relax the mind. We’ll end the practice with guided meditation focusing on self-awareness and unconditional self-acceptance. You’ll leave rejuvenated, awaken and opened for a better day!
