Happy cozy winter, Everyone!
We’re already a couple of weeks deep into 2020. I hope you’ve started your year off on the right foot. At HealthYoga we started the year with new goals, inspiration, and lots of motivation. Nothing can be more rewarding as having a clear intention and keeping up the good routine. It is like planting a seed and seeing it grow by watering it as needed, giving it light from the sun, and keeping the soil fresh.
I can announce that Psychology students at Queen’s University run a 15-week study to examine how yoga and mindfulness practices affect self-esteem and well-being. The study will be supervised by Dr. Jill Jacobson, an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Queen’s University.
HealthYoga has been invited to participated and have its contribution to this study as it provides a thoroughly therapeutic and holistic practice.
Our goal is to recruit people who are attending yoga classes and would like to participate in this study by completing a short survey either before, or after a yoga class. The questionnaire is fairly short, it takes two minutes to complete online (participants can complete it on their phones). There is a grant given from Queen’s University and will be able to enter participants in a draw to win $125.

I hope more of you will show interest and willingness to contribute in spreading out the word of yoga benefits in our daily life. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sending gratitude, care, and inspiration,
Warmly,
Maria
