Pilates is a movement method driven partially by Yoga. In this class, you will experience the magic combination of Yoga and Pilates. The class is designed to bring your attention to your body needs and develop awareness through movement. You’ll explore your body alignment in deep detail and how your breath supports the body movement. You’ll learn about your breath rhythm and breathing pattern.You will work on the muscles that need to be strengthened or stretched. You’ll learn that the quality of movement is more important than the number of repetitions.
Increased muscle strength and tone, particularly of your abdominal muscles, lower back, buttocks, enhanced muscular control of your back and limbs, improved spine stability, increased concentration, and body awareness, increased lung capacity and circulation through deep breathing, safe rehabilitation of joint and spinal injuries, better balance and coordination. A Brief Outline Of The Routine
We’ll start with body-breath integration and continue with warm-up movements, low repetitions (5-10) of aerobic exercises, yoga stretches, and guided meditation. Each exercise is performed with attention to proper breathing techniques and abdominal muscle control. Your muscles in this class will benefit from movement but they are never worked to exhaustion as you will work through intense concentration. This class suits everyone, you don’t need a high fitness level.
