RESTORATIVE&MEDITATION&BREATHING YOGA PRACTICE

Class Description

We’ll take time to gently integrate the breath, body and mind allowing about 10-15 minites a state of focused breath-awareness, body awareness, and mind-awareness. After, you’ll hold 3-5 passive poses for 5-10 minutes each. All your body will relax while paying attention to your breath and body sensations. Through guided meditation you will remain aware and present, all with the aim of releasing tension and stress in a conscious state. Props, blankets, bolsters, blocks are used to release body tension and feel comfortable. Practicing Restorative Yoga regularly can help you find a greater sense of ease, tension release and relaxation.

Anyone can benefit from this practice, especially people that have stressful jobs, go through stressful live events, have tight muscles, sore shoulders, sciatica. It is excellent for people that practice intense workout, stretching, running, hiking, spend long hours on the computers, practice intense texting, experience anxiety, do forceful movement and repetitive movements, experience mind irritation and body discomfort. Everyone is encouraged to listen to their body, respect its essence and wisdom and become aware of their deepest nature.

Benefits

The practice relaxes the mind, increases body capacity for healing, balances the nervous system and immune system. By calming the mind and relaxing your muscles, Restorative yoga alleviates a variety of ailments such as anxiety, restlessness, migraines, osteoporosis, arthritis, fatigue and much more. The body relaxation eases away pre-existing health conditions of injuries and cuts down on recovery time. Restorative yoga also creates the mental and physical space to help process major life changes like dealing with chronic conditions, cancer, divorce, separation, or job challenges as well as a myriad of other stressors and experiences. Great for stress relief! Simply lounging on supportive piles of bolsters and blankets feels extremely comfortable and soothing. Come to experience the art of self-soothing and the art of relaxation! Practicing restorative yoga regularly can help you to find a greater sense of ease. You will feel rejuvenated and renewed during and after each and every class!
