RESTORATIVE YOGA -BREATHING&MEDITATION
In this class, you’ll find a greater sense of ease, rejuvenate, restore your body energy, and release stress.
Class Description
All poses are done with props, blankets, bolsters, balls whatever you will feel that helps you ease and relax in a restorative pose. You will feel gently stretched out, open, and refreshed only by simply resting in the pose.
We’ll take time to gently integrate the breath, body, and mind allowing about 10-15 minutes for a state of focused breath-awareness, body awareness, and mind-awareness. After, you’ll hold 3-5 passive poses for 3-8 minutes each. All your body will relax while paying attention to your breath and body sensations.
Through guided meditation you will remain aware and present, all with the aim of releasing tension and stress in a conscious state. Props, blankets, bolsters, and blocks are used to release body tension and feel comfortable. Practicing Restorative Yoga regularly can help you find a greater sense of ease, tension release, and relaxation.
Anyone can benefit from this practice, especially people who have stressful jobs, go through stressful life events, and have tight muscles, sore shoulders, and sciatica.
It is excellent for people who practice intense workouts, stretching, running, hiking, spend long hours on the computers, practice intense texting, experience anxiety, do forceful movement and repetitive movements, and experience mind irritation and body discomfort.
Everyone is encouraged to listen to their body, respect its essence and wisdom, and become aware of their deepest nature.
